Don't Re-Register For Ebay After Suspension

Here is an interesting article at about money which talks about that unfortunate e-mail arrives saying your seller account privilages have been suspended. Once this happens there is basically no way to ever legitimately get back on eBay without changing credit cards, bank accounts and setting up an LLC so the account is in the companies name and not your name. Short of doing these steps you are essentially banned from eBay forever.

This article seems to echo eBays lipservice that you can get back on or that alludes to their being an appeal process but this is not the case. You'll get nowhere with eBay customer service agents no matter how many you call.

Don't Reregister After Getting Suspended

Creating a new account does more harm than good

It’s a classic and almost tragic story: a veteran eBay member goes through a rough patch, perhaps because of personal tragedy or illness, perhaps because of a weather disaster or shipping strike. A few negative feedback ratings are given by other users in rapid succession and eBay suspends the account in question due to the sudden rush of dissatisfied trading partners.

Almost automatically and without thinking about it too much, the member in question re-joins eBay using a new account name and begins to trade again. Everything seems to be humming along well once more and then... What!? One day eBay suspends the new account unceremoniously without explanation, perhaps even along with accounts held by others in the member’s family or household!
